Consultancy

Scope of work and timing

The services offered are provided by Maslow’s Attic Ltd. A proposal containing an outline of the work to be undertaken and a best endeavours timescale will be prepared, normally before an assignment starts. Late acceptance of the proposal, changes in the scope of the work or delays caused by third parties may have an effect.

Fees

The proposal will specify fees as a fixed amount, a timed rate or combination of the two. Work not specified in this way will be charged at an hourly rate of £200. Time incurred will include travelling, preparation, research, telephone or email contact and the cost of meetings postponed at short notice. A charge at this rate of least one day will apply on the cancellation of an assignment or a phase of an assignment with less than two weeks’ notice.

Expenses

Expenses include travel, couriers, printing and telephone (voice and data) costs. VAT is not currently chargeable but, if this changes during an assignment, all fees and costs quoted will be exclusive of VAT.

Payment

The proposal will specify when invoices will be raised and may include an initial retainer at the start of the assignment. Otherwise invoices will be raised two weeks after the start of the assignment, and thereafter monthly. Payment may be made in sterling by cheque to Maslow’s Attic Ltd or by bank transfer to the Bank of Scotland, Edinburgh EH11 3XP sort code 12-24-82 account number 06743754. Payment of invoices within 30 calendar days is of the essence of this agreement.
